“ I had the cranberry brie and bacon panini (delicious!!!) I think it was £9 and plenty of filling. The salad and coleslaw on the side was a nice touch. Food was delicious and mostly reasonably priced. My partner had the sausage roll slate, £11 for a small sausage roll with new potatoes and salad seemed a little overpriced but still enjoyable. They had a few cakes on display too. Staff seemed friendly & quick service. ”

“ Lovely small independent cafe serving breakfast, lunch, coffee, beer and wine (and soft drinks in between). We stopped for a light lunch of feta and spinach quiche, served umwuth salad and new potatoes. It was served quickly, the food was excellent and very good value. Small courtyard with tables, at the rear for the nicer weather. Can't fault it. And staff were excellent! ”

“ Charming if small restaurant with a young and enthusiastic staff. The tables are made from scaffolding poles with wooden tops. We popped in for coffee and cakes as the breakfast rush was subsiding. What we saw of the breakfast offering it looks great. ”

“ We had a very nice lunch at the Pickled Kipper recently. My wife had the quiche of the day, which was very generous (a whole quiche rather than a slice), and I had the Suffolk Smokies. They were delicious, but I felt the portion size was quite small for £13. A few small chunks of fish in a half-filled bowl of cheesy sauce. It’s a lovely cafe though, and we’d happily return. ”
